Insulation of conductor - PVC extruder machine production line
The following step in the production of conductors consists in applying an insulation layer around a flexible conductor made of various fine bare wires or around a sole rigid bare wire. This process is carried out on an PVC Extrusion Machine production line (insulating line) which includes an extruder fed continuously with granules of PE, PVC or any other insulating material. The PVC extruder machine will be mixing and heating the granules until they reach the correct temperature and viscosity. The wire will go through the cross head on the extruder in order to get the insulation layer of the desired colour. After this it will go through a trough filled with running water which will be cooling the applied material and thus solidifying it very quickly. The conductor will be going through various testing equipment in order to detect possible faults (spark tester, diameter controller, etc.) This process is generally realized at high speed.
Inner sheathing and outer final sheathing - PVC extruder machine production line
Sometimes before the armouring process (with steel, copper or aluminum wires) is carried out, some cables made of assembled conductors might need an inner sheathing which will be applied on an extrusion line of larger capacity in order to give the cable a smooth finish. In the case the cable does not need this inner sheathing (e.g. because it is not armoured) the outer final sheathing will be applied directly.
Power cable, electric cable and telephone insulation/ sheathing line for several thermoplastic compounds such as PVC, PE, XLPE and LSHF.
Extruders for electric wire insulation, sheathing, stripping and skinning with single, double or triple extrusion layers available by using different cross head.
PVC and LDPE extrusion materials are shared with one BM type system. Our advanced design of screw gives largest output when using PVC or LDPE material.
The PVC Coating Extruder can work with LSHF, NYLON and TPU as well by using a different screw design.
Optionally the PVC extruder production line can be equipped with a tandem PVC Coating Extruder for bedding & sheathing purposes.
The line is completed with single or dual floor traversing pay off/ take up, single pass cooling trough and haul off caterpillar.
For larger cable the line can be optionally supplied with an additional inlet haul off caterpillar.
Optionally the PVC extruder machine can be equipped with a co-extruder(35-50-60 mm)for color skinning.
